The Commission concluded its business in July 2008 and submitted its report to the Minister on 30th July 2008, which was subsequently published on 7th August 2008.
The Commission on Patient Safety and Quality Assurance was established on the 16th January 2007 by the Minister for Health and Children, Mary Harney T.D. The overall objective of the Commission is to develop clear and practical recommendations to ensure quality and safety of care for patients is paramount within the healthcare system.
